GotNext ("we", "our", "us") helps players find venues, organize games, and connect with sports clubs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information: your name, email address, and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password).
Profile information: city/location, sports and skill levels, bio, and profile photo, all of which you choose to provide.
Content you create: club posts, event details, comments, direct messages to other members, and any photos you upload to a club or event.
Location data: the city you set as your home location, and the location of venues, clubs, and events you view or create. We do not track your precise real-time GPS location in the background.
Payment handles (optional): if you choose to add a Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Cash App handle so other players can pay you for a game, we store that handle. We do not process payments, store financial account numbers, or have access to your bank or card details — all payments happen directly between players outside the app.
To operate core features: matching you with nearby games and clubs, displaying your profile to other members, and delivering messages you send.
To show your content (posts, events, RSVPs) to other members of clubs and events you participate in.
To communicate with you about your account, such as club activity or event updates.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Your name, profile photo, city, and sports are visible to other GotNext members.
Messages you send are visible only to the recipient(s) of that conversation.
Club posts and event details are visible to members of that club or event, or the public if the club/event is open.
Your data is stored with Supabase, our backend and database provider, using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
You can edit or remove most profile information at any time from your Profile and Settings pages.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete account in the app or on joingotnextapp.com. Deletion happens immediately and permanently removes your profile, photos, posts, comments, messages, reviews, and club memberships. Events and clubs you host or created remain available to their other members without your name attached.
If you can no longer sign in, email gotnext.support@gmail.com with the subject line "Account deletion request" from the email address on your account, and we will delete your account within 30 days. Some information may be retained where required for legal or security purposes (e.g., fraud prevention records).
GotNext is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has an account, email gotnext.support@gmail.com.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below.
